The past two days have mostly been spent playing a lot of cards. The boys showed us a card game, that is played between three people and sort of resembles rummy. Then we showed them how to play Uno, then Golf. Since then we’ve mostly been bouncing back and forth between Uno & Golf. Until, somebody came up with the idea that we should combine the two, and find a way to play Golf using the Uno deck. So last night, after showers, Josue and I were watching the novelas, we worked it out between us two, so that way
we could teach it to the kids.
We’ve all gotten soo in to these games that for the mean time, we’ve forgotten about the tie breaker game of cascarita.
These card games are starting to last too long, and get a little crazy with all these kids. So tonight we taught them a new game - Blitz! We first taught them to play it with beans, just as a way to eliminate. We explained, that usually it’s played with money, but that we could just play with beans! Once they all got the hang of it, they wanted to move on to coins! So we did, but started out with three fifty cent pieces and a free ride. Little gamblers, even after Josue won, they all said to be ready for tomorrow night!
Tonight we got a call from home from Mari, that she’s going to be a grandma! Which means Josue’s going to be a Tio for the first time! Congratulations to Nery y Tania! Felicidades!
